I purchased these earbuds for a project. My goal was to switch the standard exterior and replace it with spent shell casings, to make a pair of ‘bullet’ ear buds, as seen here: [. they turned out really well.308 shells as the exterior, the ear bud speaker fit perfectly inside the shell, having a tight press fit, which i glued in place to ensure it never separated. Two things to be aware of if disassembling these earbuds for a project: 1) the microphone plate is glued to the housing, making it impossible to remove without using a thin blade, which will chip the paint around the edges of the housing, and 2) the wire that connect to the ear bud speakers are extremely small (not really a surprise), and can be difficult to solder. ]
Sound quality is good (not great)the ‘stem’ where the wire comes down out of the earbud is far enough forward that i can’t get it as deep in my ear canal as i would like, so the fit isn’t very good/snug. Decent amount of bass at lower volumes, which i’m sure some will love. The cord is very much on the short side. I expect this could be an issue for many. I got this specifically to use at work. My work computer is very close to me, on top of the desk, and getting the cord to the jack was not issue. If i used these at home i would need to buy an extension to get it to reach my dac. I would say these priced under $10 is entirely worth it if the short cord will work for you. But at the original msrp there are better for the price.
Good headphones but wow what a short cord. Its an entire foot shorter than my cheap $5 headphones. Its not long enough to go walking with my phone in my pocket.
They sound amazing and have good bass, although i’m not an expert audiophile, these earbuds feel great and have also great isolation from the ambient noise. The problems and annoyances that i find about them is that the cable is short. It is strong and flexible and long enough to get all the way to the shirt pockets or sweatshirt, but not enough to reach my pants pockets. Maybe the jeans, but not recommended for deep pockets. The good thing is that they include a nice bag to carry them and it’s not bulky. They also include three sizes of earplugs for fit. I switched the driver barrels with two custom cut. 40 shells i made myself and for nicely.
Great sound quality but like everyone says theyre just too short. Too little cord is always worse than too much. If i have my phone in my pocket i cannot use the headphones. Great for my 10 year old brother though.
Never got to really use this because i bought them for a project but they were well constructed.
- Perfect for DIY type projects
- Good product
- Really short cord
These work great and sound good. I used them to make a custom set of headphones using old bullet casings.
I found the bass a little muffled-sounding, but overall they’re not bad for the price.
The wire its too short but they sound perfectly.
They have perfect volume and your ears will thump to the beat.
Better than expected sound quality. I bought these for a project, and they are perfect for it.
